2nd Row Seat Swap… How to get bolts out? *UPDATED*
I can't figure out why much of the work I do is so difficult. I scored a great deal on a new 2nd row bench seat in perfect condition. I want to pull my old beat up 2nd row seat out, but I can't break loose the T55 bolts.
I've put my 260lbs behind a breaker bar, I tried an impact driver, noting is making these turn.
What am I missing here. This is shop class 101, pull bolts, swap seat, reinstall bolts. Any tips, I feel stupid.
So you know, I have a bench seat now, and I'm swapping in a new bench seat.
Thanks…
*UPDATED*
Well @ 10:30PM I went out and sprayed the bolts from the top and the bottom with the KROIL. With a lot of work from a breaker bar I was able to get the bolts out.
I pulled the old seats out and cleaned the carpet. Hoisted the *new* very heavy seats (2001 edition) in place and got the 60% seat mounted.
Next I got the 40% seat in place. I was able to get the front bolts in, however I noticed there are two "nubs" on the back side of the seat mounting that is hindering the back bolts.
I can get one bolt in, but the far outside bolt is off about 1/4"
I'll post pics tomorrow, but I think I'll need to pull the 40% seat and cut part of the nub off so I can line up the bolts.
It didn't cross my mind to measure the distance between the bolt holes… Who would have thought FORD would make the seat supports different from 2001 to 2002…
If anyone has experience with this, let me know. Thanks again!

Sorry Brent, I didn't have PB blaster as I like to use Kroil. I followed the process and it works. Just used a different penetrating lube.
I'll post pics but it's done! From looking at the seats I think they are either late 99 or early 2000 model. I cut off the nub and then everything lined up. All bolted down tight and looking good.
Pic will be posted when I get back to a computer.
