Kind of depends on the motor you have. The C-6 and C-4 have different bellhousings seeing as they need to mount to their respective motors. I'm also curious as to why you'd want to put a smaller trans in a bigger vehicle such as this?

As someone who had a c-4 in a moderately hi powered mustang I can tell you without spending alot of money, they wont hold up to much abuse. For the same money you can build the c-6 to hold probably twice as much hp/tq
My lil 408 stang could go through the c-4 in about 2 sets of rear tires. Which back in the day wasnt but about 2 months. But on the upside,I got to where I could r/r tranny in about 3 hours. An hour to remove and 2 to reinstall. Dont expect that with a Bronco though.

To be honest I thought that a newer stronger trannys would be better per say than a larger older one.

The only reason i was asking was because I have a 2005 mustang right now so i stay browsing AmericanMuscle.com for parts. I saw the trannys a while back & thought if it would be compatible with my 5.0 bronco but it seems mt idea is misguided since you say that i would probably blow through it an a few weeks anyway. Do you think i should buy a new tranny or rebuild the old one?
