Where did all the experts go?Seems like everybody on vacation. So any way any of u great people have any experience and or pic's on removing the dash for an 03 exp xlt need to replace blend door, and while it is open should anything else need to be replaced .I'll probably look at heater core see what kinda of shape its in.Thanks all!
Thanks again alloro !In case u didnt know the last part of user name(oro) in spanish is gold! Thats what u have been for me just golden!Oh forgot to get your opinion on my a/c. So if I go to fix compressor bearing on my own, how easy is it and do u think I should replace all o-ring? Reason I ask is the rock auto has like a complete kit that gives u compressor,o-rings,expansion valve, receiver dryer etc.. just think a push to buy stuff u dont really need what ur thought.
Rebuilding a compressor is kind of getting up there into the specialty area, even I wouldn't attempt it. At this point you're better off finding a compressor without the clutch assembly on it (for less $) and swapping your new clutch onto it. Install the compressor, evacuate and fill the system, and then call it a day.
BTW, alloro is all-or-o(nothing), but I do like the gold angle as well!
You can also fix the blend door through the back of the glove box with Heater Treater. I don't have experience doing it either way, just throwing the option out there.
