If you shoot his dog he might not want to give you too good of a deal. Better call first. Nice progress on the truck too.

Got the carb back on today ,and after having the distributor in and out 5 or 6 times , she is timed and running . Now if I had bought the right size fan belt , I would have gone for a ride . Without the water pump I didn't want to run it to long . Took the cab, doors and front fender to the sandblasters yesterday . He told me how sorry he was about his dog biting me , and told me he was going to give me a real deal on the work . MAYBE I believe that .

Keep at it, its looking great.

I too think you need to take that chassis on a ride around the neighborhood. Its a time honored tradition

Dave I would strongly urge you to NOT have anyone sandblast the hood or the skin of the doors. They will warp very easily. I have done my own sandblasting for years and I hand strip (chemical) those surfaces. You can sandblast the jams and edges safely but not either side of any large fairly flat body panels. Sandblasters will tell you that they can do it but they will not be the one doing the hours of filling, priming and block sanding!
