I changed my well worn front springs and installed new x codes and BDS leveling spring. I also installed a Zone off road adjustable track bar. I adjusted the first time with the truck supported with jack stands under the axle and noticed today it was not centered as it had been. Adjust it again, drive it, and find the same thing again. Is this normal? Are these axles truely centered or am I going to put too much pressure on the track bar mounts and break something? Dont the leaf springs basically let position the axle under the truck?
I only have the OEM track bar but I can tell you that I don't think my axle is fully centered. At full lock left my left tire slightly rubs the rear fender insert and at full lock right there is no rubbing at all. A few years ago I replaced both spring packs up front (V code) and had to unbolt/rebolt the track bar to the frame during that process (couldn't get the brackets lined up to bolt the springs to the axle with the track bar on). It did this before I replaced the springs too.
