Does anyone know about interchanging seats on 2002
I just got a 2002 f250 supercab 7.3 (and I am in love). My front bucket seats are tore up and I wanted to replace them with a bench seat (and found a awesome deal on a bench). The seatbelts on my bucket seats are attached next to the head rest so if I remove the seat there will not be a seatbelt. Is there a way to add the seatbelts to the frame next to the ceiling? If yes, will the seat bolt pattern be interchangeable? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Seat I found is coming off a 2003 f250 supercab 6.0
You need to get a 60/40 seat from a Lariat edition extended cab. That way, the bolt pattern will match, you'll get the type of seat you want, and you'll also have the shoulder belts to match up with your existing supercab structure.
I would think the seatbelt ceiling hardware from 99-01 SC would still bolt up. You would just have to find the hardware and make sure the attachment points are still built into the cab.
Just hated to miss out on a great deal. $150.00 for both front and back seat in real good shape. Before I give up, I am gonna stop by the ford body shop to see if the seat belt bolt system is somewhere on my truck.?.?.
Like someone said the 40-20-40 seat with integrated belts is the best/easiest way to go. The older trucks had the provision for the belt in the B pillar. Even if the provision was still there you would need the belts and trim package as well. There is a place in TX that sells OEM seat covers for a very good price. My recommendation is replace both seat pads and new skins. You will have a new seat at that point. New seat skins seems like a lot of work but with the hog ring pliers it is not a bad job.

I have buckets and want to go to a bench but can't find one anywhere. Where did you find yours?
Thanks, CedricR.
