Will the gasket be enough to block it off? I am going to change the timing chain after looking at the one i have. Thanks for the advice
The gasket will burn through eventually. I used a thin piece of stainless, not thicker than the gasket, then used epoxy to attach it to the head. I used fel-pro gaskets, which have the openings for the crossovers to accommodate the stainless.
Wouldnt the manifold itself block off the other side of the chamber? I have never seen this done before.
The performer has the crossovers, but the performer rpm does not. If you go with the rpm, then you will have to block the crossovers. Try the ford fe site and search this topic. That is where I got the info for my install.
HAHA, man im sorry, thats where i got confused. I plan on using the performer not the RPM. I just double checked a few sites and they all say the performer will work with stock heads. I didnt catch what you were saying. I did however read where somebody used the roll form of two part epoxy and sealed their ports that way. That sounded like it would work but who knows for how long. I am trying to do as few mods as possible.
Yes they put new seats and guides in there. I have a good machine shop so I just Gabe him the heads and told him what I was doing and he ordered the cam kit and built around it. He also did the block. But now I can't find the rocker arm bolts and I am pretty sure they were on them when they went to the shop. Any idea where to get new ones. I know two of them are special.
