Thread titles and locations.

Just a suggestion,

1) It would be a lot easier to cruise the forums if your thread title had something to do with your problem.

IE. if you have a problem with your c-6, "newbie with a problem" is not going to attract a tranny guy.

2) if you add your approx. location to your profile, nobody will offer you a free 10 dollar part if your on the opposite coast. Of offer to come over and give you a hand.

I'm confused by what you mean when you say that nobody will help you if you indicate your location.

I meant if your in California I'm not going to offer you a free rebuildable engine block cause the shipping is more than it's worth. And I'm also not going to offer to come over and help you out for obvious reasons..

Also IF I know your in Texas I'm not going to tell you you need snow tires.

So... are you saying that I should hide my location so that I can have your free parts and your physical assistance? I really don't see what you're saying.

I understand issues with distance but you're making it seem like I shouldn't indicate my location.

I think Eric is trying to say is.
1. That your thread title should indicate what part you are having a problem with so the correct person can give you the best help for that problem.

2. if your location be it state, county or nearest big city is on your profile then the people nearest your location who are willing to help you out can let you know. a great way for like minded people to help each other out & make new friends.

Now if anyone can afford to fly to the UK to help me that would be great

Rich, a long, long way away.. UK

I agree with Eric 100%!

The title of your thread needs to correspond with the posted question/ comment/ concern/ problem.

Your Location will help other members know if they are close enough to help and be useful if the need arises. Heck your next door neighbor could be a FTE'er!
