Stalling Problem?
I'm a first time visitor here, and you all seem to know what you're talking about so I am hoping someone can help me out. While returning home from running errands today, my 09 F150 STX had an issue. As I was slowing to a stop (I was going less than 10mph) I noticed that my steering suddenly got very stiff. I looked at my oil gauge and was at 0. The oil pressure warning light on my display also illuminated and my engine died. I put the vehicle in park, turned off the ignition, turned the vehicle back on. The engine turned over with no problem, the oil pressure gauge returned to normal level, and the oil light on the display was not illuminated. I returned home with no issues. When I got home, I ran a system check, and there was no problem with the systems. I checked the engine, no leaks or problems. The oil life is at 34%. Engine has never had any problems at all. Was this some kind of fluke? Any ideas?
