IDI stuff is pretty thin on the ground down here and if you can find it is ridiculously expensive. I will probably rebuild the c6 myself. Has anyone got an idea of good rebuild kits on ebay? Everyone says their kits are heavy duty but I am skeptical.

c6 rebuild.
Hi oz. I recently had mine rebuilt, it turned out to be s gas trans. To replace clutches, new wider bands, shift kit the valve body and mod the torque converter to lower the stall, and buy a large cooler was 2 grand nz. On top of that I removed and reinstalled it myself, and filled it up with new oil.

Yep, its a bit different. I picked it up for 100 bucks. Makes it about a foot longer. Plenty of storage boxes inside and out.
