About to do X/B's

I am about to do my X and B mods to my 2005 Ex 4X4. I'm hoping someone who has done it with all GENUINE Ford parts can help me out on this. First I want X codes in the front (that is all) and modified B's in the back. Will the truck sit front end high with this setup and the stock EX block in the rear? I have Rancho XL9000 shocks (I already have them so I am not using Bilsteins) They are stock length front and rear for a 4X4 F-250 will they be long enough? Below are the parts I am about to order:

Rancho Shock RS999267
Rancho Shock RS999273

2C3Z5310AF Spring Front
F81Z5705ZA BOLT M14X2.00X92/217
W520115S440 Nut Hex
3C3Z5560CB Spring Rear
N811675S436 BOLT M16 X 2.0 X 118
N620485S441 NUT M16 X 2.0 HEX LO

Will the U-Bolts I have selected here be long enough after adding my to Ex leafs to the B's? Please I am only asking if the parts I have are correct and if they will work. I have read almost every post on here regarding the install and want to reconfirm before I tear my daily driver apart. Thanks in advance!

For B mod rear spring, you want #3C3Z-5560-CA. This is the one with longer center pin

Thanks for the help. 3C3Z-5560-CA must be the ones with the extra helper spring on top.I just read something interesting too, if I am going with X-codes up front and doing the B-mods, do I still need the 3.5 block in the back?

Yes, the 3C3Z-5560-CA is the one with the helper spring on top.

Modified B's with an X code should give you a very slight rake, rear higher. I ended up using the rear helper from the B code as an add-a-leaf under my X codes and my EX sits exactly level with the added spring.

Stock length shocks from an F-250 will work fine

Thanks, that's good news and reps given. Did you use your stock block or add a 3.5"? What did you use for the rear U-bolts?

Thanks for the reps. I ended up using the stock block, I ordered my ubolts and an adustable track bar from caryt here, unfortunately I don't remember the part #'s and can't find the paperwork with all my part #'s and before and after measurements. I do know that my EX had a slight rake with modded B's and just X codes up front, gained another 7/8" from adding the top overload spring from B code into the X code, sits exactly level unloaded

That's good to know! I will probably leave mine with the slight front rake, which will probably look like more because of my airbags. I don't mind a slight slope to the front, I just don't want one to the rear. How did you attach the helper to the X's? I'm thinking of ordering the F-350 U-bolts for the rear instead of the F-250's which I think should be long enough. Now I just have to hunt down that part number.

I did my V and B swap last fall. My old springs must have been shot.. I got 4.5" in front and 4" in the back. My Ex would sit with the front higher with X's. Man that front end was a POS to do by myself. The rears took only 1.5 hrs. Good luck and get some help with the fronts.

Did you just put the B's in as is or did you do the mod to them?

That's a good looking truck, I like the color. Your setup is basically exactly what I want from mine. What size tires are you running?

That's the before picture. It had 33" nittos on it. You can see how much the front is sagging. As soon as I can wash it (another freaking snow storm is coming this weekend) I will update it. I now run 35" dick cepeks. crappy tires, 10k and 2 are out of round. Going back to the nittos. Also I did the custom shocks from Cary. Duals on the front. adj track bar also from him. I am not kidding about the fronts. I ended up buying a lift because of it. I kick myself every day. Don't look how dirty she is.

Yup, 33's are perfect for me. If I go any bigger it won't fit in my garage. I'm not too worried about the lift, the base hobby shop has a ten ton frame lift. I don't feel like doing it on the floor, I just had two discs fused in my back. I will definitely need some help, but I have plenty of Marines to give me a hand. I just need to lock on the U-bolt info and I'll be set.
