I have a 250 SD that i bought almost 1 year ago. This truck was manufactured 10/03. What problems can i expect from this trucks injection system? Do the early 03 models give more problems? This truck has 82,000 mi, runs great now, bone stock.

If you look at the top you will see a link to the Tech Folder.
That is the best place to start.
One thing I would say is don't go with the aftermarket filters.
They have been a problem with the Make-It-Fit attitude of the manufactures.
Yes you can save a $ but it can turn around and bite you in the
bank shortly after.
10/03 production date should be an 04 truck with an 04 motor w/ ICP sensor in the passenger side valve cover. Same month of production as my 04. If you use OEM filters, run 5w40 synthetic oil and change it at 5K intervals, change your fuel filter at 15K miles, and get some kind of OBDII port monitor system it should run a long time. You need to check the fuel pressure NOW as it's very important to the life of your injectors. I recommend a fuel pressure gauge, since it's not monitored by the PCM, be added as well.
I wouldnt expect any problems. Keep your oil changed every 5k miles, use oem oil filters and 5w40 syn oil, and oem fuel filters. Fuel filters every 15k miles. Get a scan gauge to watch vitals and enjoy your truck.
