As I am currently inside my engine, I was wondering what major area to attack first once this engine is completed. Basically it boils down to interior replacement and repaint or the body work on the outside. Both need a lot of work, and I can take my time with them. Safety and running gear will be done on an as required basis for now. My oldest son has already chosen the wheels and I have selected the tires.
Basic plan is to smooth out the body and fill in the molding holes. Once that is done it will be painted Highland Green Metallic.
On the interior, I am converting it to black with a cowhide inset in the seats and perhaps a cowhide dash cover.
Depending on how long it will take, I think exterior should be first. The reason being that it is getting worse due to rust and stopping that sooner rather than later would be best.
In the absence of anything else, the passage of time and environmental factors mean the tin-worm will always be well fed
Awesome trim option
A mate of mine has an early 60's falcon coupe, white body with red trim and he trimmed the parcel shelf and seat covers in black and white cowhide. It looks brilliant
