need help with electrical problem
So my truck messed up a few days ago I knew it was the alternator so I bought a new one and put it in. after doing so the red battery light indicator came on, I didnt think anything of it til it killed my battery so now im thinking there is a short in the connection from the alt to the cylinode but my volt meter says other wise. Is there a fuse or something im missing or do I have to take it to a shop cuz of a short.
p.s. I re did the plug to the alt. Because when that plug Is un connected the red battery light goes off but drains the battery.
