Keyless Entry System
Hi All,
I just bought a 98 F-150 XLT and am wondering how to tell if it has the keyless entry system, it did not come with any of the fob's to lock/unlock the doors, and I am wondering if that was just because they didn't have them, or if it is not equipt with this feature.

Hi ScubaCowboy and welcome to FTE 
If the truck has Remote Keyless Entry you should be able to tell by trying to put it into programming mode. If it goes into this mode it has RKE.
Turn the ignition switch from OFF to RUN eight times within ten seconds, ending in RUN. If the RAP (Remote Antitheft Personality) module has successfully entered program mode, it will lock and then unlock all doors.
