Keeping Cool
A 95 Mercury villager minivan with a 3.3L V6. The stock radiator for this thing was a gigantic three core all aluminum radiator, which I was tempted to try and use in my truck, had I been able to get it out In one piece.
However, the fan for this was a gigantic 19" two speed fan. This thing is massive. Bigger than a mark viii.
I pulled the fan, with more than a few swear words. We tested it back at the junkyard office, and this thing is ridiculous. It pulled the attendants hat off his head. Even he was impressed.
Someone mentioned earlier that the mark viii fan will pull a cat through the grille, well this does better. When I finished paying and walked outside, a cat was sitting beside the fan. Doesn't even need to be running.
Fan shroud for these is a little oddly shaped and will require some trimming on the passenger side and some creativity with mounting, but it should do the job.
If anyone's interested, I did some research the 92-2002 Villager is a rebadged Nissan quest. Something to keep your eye open for. In case you're in the market. Will post pictures tonight. and continue with an install for those interested.
Now to go back in the morning for the factory push bar I found.
