My F3

So, thought I'd share a few pics of my F3.
Found it in the back of a farmers barn while cutting the back grass a few streets over. (The lighter green) Negotiated a VERY good price. Put in a new battery, poured some gas in the carb; Fired right up and drove it home! Had been there for years.

Major body work to the bed (rust all the way around and into the stake pockets). Body work to the fenders (Bondo). New main bearings and seal, rewired the external wiring, recover the seat, fuel sending unit, mirrors, fog lights, tune up, polish up the bright work, paint, and on the road!

F3, 3/4 ton suspension, 8 lug wheels, long bed. 215 OHV engine, 4 spped on teh floor with a crash box tranny.

Wheels were a question as I could not find any moons to fit over the depth of the 8 lug wheels. Decided on hub covers, retain the spoke wheels and trim rings. Added graphic script and I think they look pretty good.

Added a switch plate for Courtesy and Fog lights, and Heat switches. (Need to straighten the bezels a bit)

Anyway, a great deal, a great truck, and an enjoyable ride!

Yea, that's the problem with posting them in an Album instead of a Gallery.

That was my first though. Clicking on them opens them up in a new window but doesn't make them any bigger. Sharp looking truck.

I would love to see some pictures of the 215. I have always liked the straight 6, no matter what year.

Going to his album get ya bigger and better and more pic's. But I think only
he can post them here bigger using the codes or another hosting site.

Maybe this will help some.

.Could we see some pictures? Here is how.

But I got ta say becoming a supporter is the fastest and easiest way to post pics right from
your whatever pad/cell thing or home computer.
Few of us look in the users Gallery or album as you can see by your recent visitors.

It seems awkward, but whenever you "insert a picture" to one of these threads, the forum is looking for the picture somewhere on the web (which is always available) rather than from somewhere on your hard drive (which isn't always available).

Go to Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket and sign up for a free account. Then create an album for your truck. Upload any pics you want to post on FTE to that album. Have this album open on your computer when you want to post pics on FTE.

While you're making a post on FTE, select the pic you want to post from your Photobucket album. When the large version of the pic is open, right mouse click on it and select "View Image Info". The image info will be highlighted and will look something like this:
The best photos and videos | Photobucket

Copy that highlighted info (right click / copy).

When you have the spot in your post where you want the pic to be placed, select the "Insert Image" icon at the top of the post (looks like a mountain) and paste (right click / paste) the image info you copied in the highlighted box (just shows "http://" when it opens).

Your pic will be placed in the post.

Hope that helps.

Here's a tutorial Bob put together: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/67...-pictures.html Bob's link is not working. Can someone in the know tell me why?

How to upload pictures to the FTE Forums. - YouTube. Thanks Sam Rusty_Old_F250. Best we can find is that this video was done by Gundown64

Is this better?

There is a trick to making an album pic larger. It's a manual hack on my part, but at least we can share a larger picture in this thread for those of us that hate having to click other places to see beauties like this.

For those of you interested, you replace the .html (and anything after it) with just .jpg and then it shows up clean. You can then take that url and use it to post a picture.

Thanks to all for the kind words. I am tickled with how she turned out. I get great reaction and nice comments around town. Many comments on the wood and wheels. I did not put wood in the bed as it's a daily, I put down 3/4" ply rhino lined on the underside and 16 ga. Sheet metal over the top and welded around. If it weren't for the tail gate, I believe I could haul water!
It's just a kick to drive!

Very nice! And to haul water you just line the bed with a blue tarp. (and corner gently) !
