interchangable parts?
I am fairly new to this thread but have been doing a lot of reading and searching and gettting quite a bit of conflicting information. I am wanting to see if we cant get a list going of interchangable parts, specifically what I am wanting is stuff like bolt patterns, doors, door panels, mirrors, bumpers, grill guards, grills, lights, etc.... with little to no modification. all help would be greatly appreciated.

Everything from a 99-07 truck swaps to our X's with damn near 100% comparability
Rear doors are different
Rear bumpers from 99-14 are 100% swap. 08+ bumpers look awesome
99-04 trucks have same grille/bumper up front as X
05-07 truck bumper/grill bolt right up...just make sure to replace both at once
You can do a hybrid 05+ grill with 99-04 bumper. Need to cut the 05 grill down
05-07 coil suspension for front is 100% bolt on with Dana 60 axle. Just make sure you get all the parts off the donor truck
05-07 truck axles are 4" wider than 99-04 axles
99-14 bolt patterns are same. The lugnut thread pitch went from coarse to find around 2002. You can use ANY 99-14 rim on your rig. Just have to use 2" spacers on 05+ rims
05+ headlights fit your X with a little cutting of the substructure, use a 9008 bulb vice your current 9007 bulb

2008 and newer Ford OEM mirrors are interchangable....with a little wiring work and fabrication.

99-14 seats all interchange with each other. depending on year you might have to re-wire a few things. but they bolt up
99-14 mirrors all interchange 100%. see quote below
08+ front door interior panels bolt up with a tiny bit of fabrication...2-3 screws. they rub the dash a tiny bit when door is closed
steering wheels from 99-07 are interchangeable with...as well as the 97-08 F-150, 98-06 Expy/Navi...well a lot of Ford models. So it's easy to find a cheapy nice replacement.
08+ center console or jump seat drops right in there between your front seats perfectly
02+ consoles have deeper cup holders. 99-01 cup holders are affectionally referred to as drink ejectors. 100% swap
05-07 dash cupholders are 100% swap as well...but they don't really flow that well with the 99-04 dash
should be zero wiring if you have a 2002+
you can buy $10 adapter from round to square plugs...or you can just re-wire. it's easy either way
if you want running lights in the mirrors, you can run a wire to the mirror for that. probably the "hardest" part of installing 08+ mirrors IMO
and you only need to snip that locating pin on the 08+ OEM mirrors. Otherwise it's a 100% bolt-on

There is an early 99 and a late 99- the cutoff month is march, if I remember.
On the early 99, the front axle housing, track bar and track bar bracket are different. In addition to the axle housing being different, the hub/spindle assembly and brake rotors are different- and more expensive. That's why many of us early 99 guys convert to later outer axle stuff.
The early 99 F-250's do have the tall rear blocks though...

did not know that. I knew the E99 7.3 motors had different turbo's...interesting to read the other stuff
so lesson learned is stay with 2000+ stuff when mix n' matching for your Excursion
