I finally finished trimming my bumper and put it back on. I dont know if I am gonna keep the bumper or put a stock 05 bumper on. What do you guys think? the bumper pretty much hides the grill.[IMG]
I'll bet those little kiddy ricer's get out of your way when you come up behind them. Good lookin front end. What year truck is that?
edit: never mind, I see the year in your gallery.
New 05' grill and headlights just bolt in? How much did it cost?
The grill and lights do just bolt on but you also have to change the support panel they mount to, And the headlight plug has to be changed, I cut up my old bulbs and made adaptors that plug into the original headlight plug and then to the 05 bulbs, Also on my truck the marker lights wouldnt fit the new housing mine had the bulb 90 degrees to the wire, L shaped. I spliced on some soft rubber plugs from my original license plate lights, I had to trim them a little but they are straight so they fit good. I dont know if mine were different but some who have done the swap used their stock markers and they fit right in. I paid $150 for the headlights, they were new take outs and the mounting panel, grill, and headlight plugs were $370 from the ford dealer, and the bulbs were $40 from napa so the grand total was around $560 If you plan to do it get the prices from ford parts online and then call your local dealer with the part numbers and prices and have them match the price, I save Around $150 doing it this way. I dont have any more pics yet, but I will get some this weekend, I should have taken pics during the swap but I was working outside in the rain and just wanted to get done.
I dont know for sure what brand it is, but I think it is a south texas outfitters bumper, I bought it used I bought the front and rear bumpers for $450. I think A new front is around $700.
