So if my gem onduke is disconnected. My trucks runs fine. Now idont have ay wipers. Is there an alternative power source or another way i can power them? Ahoukd i be concerned of any problems coming up with the gem being unplugged?reason being is because isont have 450 for a new one. And i can not find a used one.

I doubt a salvage yard GEM would be $450 & if your local yard doesn't have one for your vehicle, he likely has contacts that would be able to locate one for a lot less than that.
The vehicle wasn't designed to operate its peripherals without the GEM in place & not knowing how your vehicle is equipped, its impossible to say what may, or may not be safe.

I have called so many places and looked online on ebay amazon all aay part is no longer avaliable. The 450 w a part price from ford. Ibhave talked to people and no one knows much about the gem. I have received a great bit of knowledge from this site. It says that the gem effects the 4x4 shifti n g. But will it effect normal driving conditions.
