Roll Bar

Hey guys, well i was wanting to build a roll bar for my truck, but i am not sure how easy it will be and if it would look good. If anyone has done this would you be able to show me what it looked like and how you did it. And also has anyone put a motorcycle in with a roll bar. Does it fit easily.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personally I think they look ridiculous and belong in the past...circa 1980.

I personally have a 88 F150 I want to put a roll bar in but not sure if I will to me looks like there is plenty of room to fit my 73 Harley or my dad 07 Harley. I personally haven't seen one made probably would be easier maybe even cheaper to buy it online.

Well i guess maybe on newer trucks they might but i have a 1991 f150 and its has a 6 inch lift on it with big tires and is painted camouflage. I thought it would look good.

we just did a frame off on my uncles 84, he had one on it back in the day, and we are getting his original sandblasted cause of rust, welded at the seams, then powder coating the roll bar and the kc light housings the same aluminum looking color the wheels were done in, dont think it will look out of place at all,

what the roll bar looks like now

and a close up of the wheel powdercoating

Real easy if you use PVC or ABS. Just booger it up to look like welds or put some bolt heads through it.

I'm thinking about going this route for additional lighting

Light Bars

I'm not a fan of the bed bar look in anything newer than the bullnose trucks, and I can't afford to lose bed space.

BiGGreen350- That's one sharp looking truck. Well done!

Matt, that is the absolute perfect look for that truck. The wheels turned out great and will look real good on the bars, too. Bring it back to it's original glory and keep us posted!

Here's another example of how it'd look:

It's a lightbar, not a rollbar, but hey. The previous owner had it installed a very long time ago, so in my eyes it looks "stock" and not out of place at all, it'd look funky without it. I've been thinking about having it re-done, the bottom parts are all rusted and loose. Maybe get it re-done as a proper rollbar.

I would put some lights on it, but I don't go offroad and California frowns on fancy lights
