DSO 22: Charlotte NC Ford district sales office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.

The Warranty Plate may have been removed when the truck was repainted, but look at the condition of it.

It's washed out. Those of you with 1966's (Warranty Plate same 1966/69), look at your Warranty Plates. I doubt you'll find yours in the same condition as this one is.

martiauto.com has repro'd this Warranty Plate and the rivets. But Marti does not have the codes for 1961/66.

So whoever orders one of these plates for a '66, would have to provide the codes so Marti could stamp it.

'Course without knowing what the hidden frame VIN is, this plate could be from a real Ranger and this one is a fake.

btw: Something else I noticed inre to the instrument cluster: The speedo and gauge needles are faded, not something one would expect to see on a truck with 26,149 'actual' miles.

I can see red paint on the top and bottom left of this plate. I would say it was touched
up around it or was masked off when painted.

The vin number off the frame rail would clear up a lot. Or make more problems
possibly.

This may not be the original door and or the original data plate. Both can be
changed a lot easier than the frame.

If the truck is as nice as the pics I think the asking price is in the ballpark.

I couldn't build that truck for anywhere near 16k.

Not a F100, but this is what Im drooling over today.

That's a beautiful 58 Ranco for sure.

Here is a 55 that was never offered.

man, I would have given anything to have had Bill/NumberDummy go along when I was looking at trucks to buy, just to separate fact from fiction in the seller's stories. great info as always!

Those are Bostrom Viking T-Bar seats. They are discontinued but were used in tons of rigs over the years including backhoes and heavy equipment.

This is a link to the seat below but they had changed the suspension slightly in newer years. I found a set in an old 1966 Ford dump truck. They were an optional seat in the 64/72 F100/1100 at least so they of course fit perfect if you have the right brackets and adjusters. And they are COMFORTABLE. The torsion suspension works great. A single shock absorber underneath in the middle. Not an air suspension seat, but a combination torsion bar/hydraulic suspension setup. They are cool. I can give you the google patent link if you want to read up on the design. Very cool old diagrams from the 1960 patent filing, I think the year was.

This isn't quite as good as I have in PDF, but it's part of it.

You can't use seat belts that attach to the floor. Do you know why?
