Yeah, true. Sorry if I offended anybody... I'm more of a restomod/practicality guy.

The real rivets are available. Now ya gotta go look at the frame serial number. Sheese, screws no less.

The interior is almost perfect. This truck is like new inside and out
Of course it is and not because it is the original interior which it is not. Completely restored inside. Has the wrong dash bezel using the fully chromed incorrect one. Looks like those new aluminum trim bezels seen around for around the door pockets. Inside fender aprons too glossy and not the typical satin black Ford used. Could have also bent his own correct steel fuel line from pump to carb rather than rubber with the cheesy see through fuel filter.

As for the brakes I have never seen the brake proportioning valve sitting up there in space. They are attached to the frame down lower which is where I found mine in the junk yard.

Nonetheless, I am reservedly impressed by how clean he got the undercarriage. Less impressed by what is not original especially since he does imply "original" through his description.

Very nice truck, I'd like to own it. Hell it may be worth the asking price, but the "ranger" business is simply not accurate and diminishes a very nice truck. This seller either is a liar outright or he is simply has an incomplete understanding of the facts. IMHO. Shadowrider, no offense intended about the screws. Rivets show up on ebay every once in a while.

MAN, some of you guys are tough. It very well may be a Ranger. Someone contact him and get him to take a pic of the plate and send it to you. Than you can post it. As for the mileage, who knows, I've seen low mile 65-66 F-100s. Obvious things have been added and possibly repainted. The guy is passing the truck along. He may just be clueless. Don't know if I call him a liar unless maybe the plate is posted.
Still a nice looking truck. If I had the extra funds, :-missing, I'd buy it. Extra funds haaaaaaa, who has extra funds...

I emailed the guy and he said the truck is the way he bought it. The data plate is the pic he sent me.

Its a nice truck but at that price point I would rather have a newer F150/F250.

There are still low mile trucks out there! I have owned a few.

I just bought a very very low mile 1966 That has never been titled~registered!
Hehe. Guess I'll have to start quoting more. What my post was in response to was:

I was just pointing out to Cole that the seller is saying 21,100 actual miles on the 2006 dated Va. title and now shows 26,149. Either those weren't actual miles and was simply what the odometer read at that time or it is actual miles. I'd imagine only 5,000 miles since 2006. But it now sounds like this guy didn't restore it, which means someone restored a 21,100 mile truck. That's the part I do find a bit curious.

A friend has a '66 F250 4x4 with 448k on it and you'd never guess it. He's owned it since 1967 after purchasing it from another friend that didn't want the payments. Very nice Arcadian blue truck. I think it's on its 3rd repaint. Always garaged. Oddly, nothing has been rechromed so that's all spider webbed. They keep taking it off and putting it back on for each repaint. 427 SO, Warn overdrive behind the NP435. Still has drums all around. Bostrom seats that were installed way back when it was less than a year old. PTO winch but he used the original bumper. Very old school truck but tastefully done throughout. Truly an amazing truck. He was part of a 4x4 rescue group for years up here in WA.

Here, a little sneak peek at that vehicle. You can see the 3rd stick. Without that stick the truck probably wouldn't have 448k miles on it. Old Warn overdrive allowed him to drive this thing coast to coast - and he has more than once.

That VA title could have been issued in 1967 or any other year. The 21,000 miles on the title doesnt mean anything.

That is a Michigan build truck so it is doubtful that it was sold new by a VA dealer.

I hope the owner didn't get ripped off when he bought it. It sure feels that way. Good job with all the detective work fellas!

I would also love to see the Vin on the frame. If it is a real Ranger than it's worth
the price even with the mods I think.

If not a True Ranger than still a damn nice clone but not worth the asking
price. And that alone may get the price down and make it worth buying
as a cool daily driver.
