Okay I have a 1979 Ford f-250 351M I removed my valve cover and the valve closest to the firewalls (think 8), the push rod seems to be short on the roller rocker? Is this a bad lifter? Or just needs to be adjusted? Help me please!

Did you check to see if pushrod is bent? The valves are non-adjustable.
No the push rods are fine, I have no idea if the lifter could possibly be bad, and on # 5 (front of the engine driver side) It seems like the push rod is to long? I left it alone for the night but I really wanna figure this out. It seems like the roller rockers are not grabbing the push rods right.
If your lifter is collapsed the rocker will hardly move. It's very apparent.
I don't know about being "too long" that would be the rocker pushing the spring till it binds on itself, that will end in a bent pushrod.
Rotate the crank till both valves are fully closed. You should be able to turn the push rods by hand, if not something is binding. Next try to "rock" the rocker arm back and forth, there should be no play here. If there is you either have a bad lifter, a worn cam lobe, or both.
I have rotated the crank, the rear valve, seems like the lifter isn't lifting the push rod about 1/6 of a inch room there. first valve seems like the lifter is frozen. Maybe some wd40 in the first valve with a slight hammer tap? but the rear one I am really thinking the lifter is out, just hoping maybe something else can be done, so I don't have to yank off the intake.
Well I will check it out. Hopefully it can wait awhile before I absolutely need too, I will just redo the push rods, redo the lifters and cam. :\ Gotta make that money first, But do you guys have any other clues?
