Might try something abrasive - emery cloth, sandpaper, file, etc.

My switch wiring had been hacked by a PO to allow it to work in one speed only without the PARK feature, had to turn it off at just the right time. In my case, it was the motor that needed to be replaced.

Do some searching in this forum (might even be in the Sticky/subforums) on windshield wiper diagnostics, there are a few pages from the factory service manuals explaining how to diagnose what the exact problem is.

so what I'm seeing is
- 8 carrage bolts that hold bed to frame.
- 4 bolts/screws behind fuel doors.
- remove tail lights to drop wires there.
I don't understand how people can think it can be easier to remove the bed than drop a dang fuel tank... the bed bolts are significantly larger and there are more of them, the overall total amount of work seems to dwarf merely dropping a gas tank. But, to each their own, I guess..

bed

might just drop tanks but, was looking at fixing ie cutting (plasma / red-green wrenches) and wielding the bed floor if that is all it takes to remove 2 birds one stone. or replace bed all together as many holes in floor and top of sides cracks, do not know what PO had done to do this.

just was not overly sure it tanks mounted to frame or bed. main part of that question sorry still mucking with Haynes book at this time, 6 more days for the real books to show up.

Wiper blades should be 18 in. When my wipers didn't turn off it was the motor. I had changed switch first, it didn't work, drove many years with the switch in between off and slow it worked until you hit a bump. Finally changed motor and the problem was solved. Definitely check the switch first.
