Hey guys I need some help bad. I have a 2002 F250 PSD RCLB 4x4 truck onl mod is a TS6 (have had it for 4 months no problems) and it just started running like poop. Has 170k new injectors and pump 15k ago. I went to work at 1am (rode with my father inlaw) and we got back to his house at 1pm today. It's 30 degrees up here today so it wasn't plugged in and I cycled it once it stared ran fine for 10 seconds then check engine light came on and it felt like it wasn't running on all 8 then it died, so I just turned it back over and it ran for 10 seconds then did all that stuff again. So I cycled it 3 times then started it and it stayed running. I let it warm up for 10min made it down the driveway and it threw the check engine light and seemed to not be running on all 8. Started it again and tried to go and it did it again... Luckily father inlaw has a heated garage so I started it let it run for 5 min then backed it up and turned her around and put it in the garage and it DID NOT throw a light or chug. I'm guessing it's a fuel issue but it seems more indepth than it's gelled up. I have been running additive and I put probably a cup more in before I left. I was gona try ISO heat too. Any idea what this could be!? Any help would be awesome!
Just got it running like normal again and brought it to O Riley's to scan. 4 codes but the 1 that I noticed as a red flag was 1316 IDM - codes detected. So I'm guessing my IDM or the under the valve cover stuff is failing. I just drove it 40 miles after getting it out of the garage and you wouldn't have know it was broken 4 hrs ago.... Anybody know much about IDM stuff? I've heard it's a common problem I just want to know how hard it is to replace because I'm not brining it to the stealership...
