I like bobcat's suggestions as well Brandon. Only thing I might do if you haven't already is to insp the o rings on the quick connects, make sure there in place, not hard brittle or torn.
After cycling the key, if you loosen the UPPER fuel filter cap you SHOULD get a pressure release of air/fuel (mine sprayed pretty good), that would at least give you an indication of whether fuel is getting there - in my case it only showed 10-20 PSI on my fuel pressure gauge, so I've learned the FP gauge is a great addition.
Trying to start w/o fuel pressure probably isn't good for the injector either.

noted, we'll see how that goes.

yep, the feed and return on both sides are different sizes, so you can't mix them up.
just called on a new gasket for the manifold cover on the HFCM... $52! for little gaskets!!!
1. should fuel be flowing out of the feed line that comes from the tank to the HFCM when it's disconnected? and
2. when i have everything buttoned up and have cycled the fuel pump a few times, i should get a healthy dose of fuel out of the water drain when opened correct?
..right now neither is happening.
had both batteries successfully bench tested at lunch and picked up that HFCM mainfold gasket.

Did you add 5 gallons of diesel to the tank as suggested? The reason being is that there is a check valve on the fuel pickup that is known to fall off causing loss of pump prime at around 1/4 tank. If you add the 5 gallons it can eliminate that as a possibility.

no, i am still at work; adding fuel is my first order of business tonight, just trying to be as armed as i can with plans B, C, and so on.
so adding a 5 gallon can of fuel was a bust. fuel pump was securely plugged in an verified to be running.
i got under and opened the water drain valve and we put some compressed air to the fill neck and got fuel to run out the water drain. cool. closed that and went up to the bowl and added more air to the fill neck. a few bubbles in the bowl and then we had a good flow of fuel coming up the bowl. now we're getting somewhere. so we stop putting air to it; thats when i watched the fuel in the bowl receed. that doesn't seem right. tried to cycle the fuel pump and it wouldn't bring it back up.
so having tried two of my three tricks i had up my sleeve, i went to plan C, which was the $55 gasket kit for the HFCM manifold cover. installed it, went back up top and had my buddy cycle the fuel pump, nothing. did it again, nothing. one more time, BOOM, fuel is coming out of the bowl like oil out of Jed Clampett's swamp. i think we're getting somewhere. put the bowl cover on, cycle the pump twice, crank the engine, presto, happy 6.0l
so the HFCM gasket wasnt' sealing between the chambers it seperates. it looked a little swollen when i was dealing with it Sunday, but i thought for sure it would lay in its race when i tightened the cover... apparently not.
