M5r2 question
I need a new transmission for my f150. It's the 4wd Mazda trans. Can I buy a 2wd and just remove the tail shaft and install the transfer case adapter from mine? Or is the main shaft a different length? I'm not interested in a ZF swap this one has over 250k on it and the old truck is pretty well retired from any heavy work. I do plan on rebuilding the one that's in it just want one for temporary use. My dad bought the truck new in 93 and I'm just bringing it some new life.
