2003 explorer towing capacity?

I'm looking to possibly buy a pull behind camper, I don't need much but I'd like to get a decent sized one that I can still pull behind the explorer, besides a pop up, how long of a trailer do you guys recommend for a 4.0 4x4 explorer?

With smaller vehicles (such as Rangers, Explorers and Aerostars), Ford frequently does not recommend towing anything that has a larger frontal area than what you're towing with. Something to think about if you don't go with a pop-up. Check the owner's manual for specifics. If you don't have one, it's available as a download from Ford.
