Odd bolt?

Okay, so I was cruising through my engine bay looking at all of the dirt and dust.(Killing me where I live.) And I started looking at the valve covers and I noticed this odd bolt.

It's the one on the left here, compared to the others the head is about a 13mm I think and the rest are all 8mm or so.

Is this a quick fix someone did, or is this supposed to be this way? I looked at the passenger side front and it is just a stud, not a bolt.

I was told it was definitely aftermarket, but hey if it fits and doesn't let anything leak, it fits me.

Hopefully whoever put it in did select a bolt with the correct thread. Well, actually, hopefully you never have a reason to take that bolt back out.

I did pull it to make sure it was the correct thread, and to my surprise it was! The only thing that wasn't spot on was basically the link, the bolt was about 2mm shorter than the others.
