Does anyone know where I get can a y-pipe for an 89 f150 with a 351w. An aftermarket one under the $460 stok price tag would be great, but if someone here has a good one let me know. A dealers name would also be helpful.

I have a Bassani Y pipe on my 96 Bronco with the 351 (I actually have their whole street thunder system). Bassani is super high quality, and their fabrication/design is top notch. This system has big primary tubes. The piping from the primaries through the catalytic coverter is a true 3" pipe (yep, a high flow cat...). The only thing you will have to do is either have a shop make you a reducer pipe....or buy a catback system while youre at it . The end of this Y pipe is 3", so it wont meet with your stock system without some form of reduction.
Thanks for the replies. I am leary about the boneyards because the job is such a pain in the butt I don't want to do it twice. I got a price on a custom dual exhaust w/o cats for $400. Its just that this is only a utility and plow truck and I really don't want to drop a grand over a small y-pipe leak, but the leak is making her run rough and rich, so I need it fixed. Does anyone know where to get a stock one so I can know if the shop is ripping me off, or has someone removed theirs and want to sell it?
I dont know if they are the same (I think they are), but I have a stock y pipe I just took off of my 96 bronco that I was thinking of selling off. Has the cats, all emissions fittings, and no rust through. I think the half ton and bronco used the same headers and y pipe, just a different length catback. If you are interested, drop me an email. You might want to ask around to see if my pipe will fit your application.

All '96s are MAF OBD-II, so they have more HEGO bungs than non-MAF trucks and different provisions for thermactor (cat) air. It may fit between the manifolds & muffler, but the HEGOs and air pipes probably won't match up.
