I could see doing that, if you've got a hot rod that makes a ton of HP, but in a stock 4.9 truck? You'll grenade the Mazda tranny before you even come close to utilizing all the grunt of that clutch...

Any recommended clutches?thats the plan. Lol never have to replace the clutch again. It's a project truck

Someone already mentioned the dealer.
The concentric slaves on these small block transmissions are a known failure point.

I can only speak from my own experience in my 460 truck.
I have used a bunch of clutch brands but have never had one last longer than the one that came in it.
