Radiator Shroud Interchange

Hate to keep bogging down the forum with new threads but the search didn't help me on this one either.

Part of the damage I got on the front end of my 01 Ex included breaking the radiator shroud. I know it has to be V10 specific but does it have to be from an 01 -03 as well? I can find them off of 2000 Ex's/F250's but the part numbers are different. Can't find an interchange guide to show me if they'll swap or not. Anyone have any experience with this? I'm thinking there wasn't any real front end change from 2000 to 01 that would affect this. Just want to get the right one the first time.

Thanks again

Bogging THIS forum down?
Many times part numbers change because there is an insignificant change that has nothing to do with anything but they can't say it is the same part because it IS different. It could be a reinforcing rib they added or any little thing like that.

I would consider going electric, would free up some space and save you from trying to find a new shroud.

As to the suggestion to go electric, you will not get anywhere near the required airflow to properly cool one of these things under load. On a small vehicle it's fine, there is a reason big trucks do not have electric fans, you just can't move as much air efficiently given the available amount of current.
