door hinges
at this point, the drivers lower hinge has one of its bronze bushings worn all the way through and popped up and out of place, and the passenger lower hinge is funny enough that to get it to start closing requires excessive force to pop it over a hump before it'll close the rest of the way smoothly. the bushings are still intact on that side but heavily worn. its bad enough that my wife often can't close the door for herself.
here's an example of the repair kits Dorman 38464 Door Hinge Pin Bushing Kit | eBay
so repair kits or used hinges? or install repair kits in better used hinges than i have?
If so that bushing/pin kit might be the best answer---certainly easy to locate.

I'd have to think on eBay or somewhere there is a NOS set of hinges, depending on which door you're working on. If its the drivers door those might be tougher to find since they're almost always the most frequently worn out.
The Dorman kit looks great---bushings, shoulder bolts and nuts too---might be a lot better than new in fact. This is assuming your current hinge pin holes aren't wallowed out. Even if they are maybe finding a good set of used then adding the bushing kit before installation might be the best bet.
If you go the bushing repair please let us know how it works out, maybe a short write up? Could be helpful to someone else facing this same situation.
I myself buy new since they're still available ('03 E250) and I'm a glutton for punishment----they're not easy to change by yourself!
the factory hinges have a steel pin with the head formed like that of a rivet, so it'll probably have to get cut off in some form (grinder, etc) or even just cut the center of the pin and slide the halves out top and bottom. then its just a matter of driving the bushings out and in. it looks like it should be a pretty straightforward task, and i'm hoping i might possibly be able to do it in position so i don't have to think about re-aligning my doors in more directions than necessary.
in any case, i'll post with how the job went once i get my hands into it
If you have time to post some photos that'd be great!
