Engine swap?

I have a 89 BII that has a better engine in it then my 88,I know that the wireing is different in the 2 trucks.I was wondering if the 89 engine will be a direct change to the 88?I was going to use the intake off the 88 (its the big throttlebody) on the 89 engine will this work?

Also If I can find 1 which oil pump is the best ,high pressure or the high volume??KenOO
I know this is not just a BII ? so I will undrtstand if you move it.

I think the 88 has EGR which the 89 doesn't, I think the spot is just covered with a plate.

I'm not for sure, but I believe that the 89 also doesn't have a smog pump system either.

Thanks for the info .The 88 nor the 89 have a egr that I can find or a air pump.I dont think the FI motors have air pumps. Thanks!

Engine swap?

Hi guys I am new to FTE....I just recently aquired an '84 ford bronco 2....It was runngin good until i took it offroading in the hills....the motor already had 260,000 miles on it....but the body is in good shape...I am considering droping a 302ci in it...

1. How difficult is it?
2. Can i use the stock transfer case
3. Where can i find a book on this
Any other help you can give would be greatly appreciated
