Mine is definatly 1-13/16... I got it a full rotation around to as tight as I could with the 3ft wrench. I'm gonna get a socket on it tomorrow with a big cheater bar and give it more. Or I might just get a fatter cheater bar so the wrench will fit inside it. How tight is 350 ft-lbs?

Thats odd. Must be aftermarket or something. 350ftlbs is alot. Basically all you can give it.lol did you have to take off the bracket on the trac k bar to be able to get in there? Edit: I evidently was thinking of something else. You are right about the size of the nut. Brain fart. Sorry
Ya I took of the bracket that was right in the way. Forgive me I'm not sure the name. It was two bolts into the frame and 3 up high holding it in. Once that was off I could get the wrench on it. Definatly got about a full turn on it. Really wanted to put it back together and see if it helped any but figured I'd wait till tomorrow and try to get more. I'm crossing my fingers that it's gonna help... I don't see how it could be any worse. Seems like a really common problem on the web with the lift kits on these trucks. I'm assuming that the pitman arm is aftermarket to accommodate for the lift? My lift I found out while down there is a fabtech... So I guess that's a good thing. I had fabtech on my silverado and it was pretty smooth on the road.

If you got a full turn on the nut you will probably get another third or so with a cheater. Your truck will drive almost like a new one.
Good news. After putting it together and getting the nut as tight as me and my dad could with a 4ft cheater bar, the steering is much tighter. I wouldn't say it's 100% yet but feels much like I got about 90% of the play out. It drives about like my last truck did that was lifted so I'm ok with the way it is. Also the oil leak up top was fixed. I put a new O ring on the oil filter and it fixed the leak. But there's one coming from the bottom as we'll but it's really small leak. I will worry about it next weekend.
Oh and btw that bracket I had to take off to tighten the pitman arm.... Putting it back together proved difficult. There was a bolt up top that bolted the bracket to a nut inside the frame and the nut was very difficult to keep straight while trying to thread the bolt. I had to take the tow hook off in order to get a stick into the frame to hold it still while I threaded the bolt.... But atleast the steering is fixed. Thanks guys!

Actually there is a hole/gap inside the frame where you could of held the nut. May of made it a little easier. Glad it steers better.
I forgot to mention that my heat also isn't working. It's like it blows just room temp air... The ac for sure blows cold air but the heat is just air. Any ideas?

Congrats on the nice truck. And welcome to the best forum on the internet that al gore created.
I agree, a scanguage 2 is one of the cheapest and best first upgrades you can buy. Also a fuel pressure gauge is the second. I have just about every gauge known to exist and by far these are the cheapest and most likely to identify an issue before it leaves you stranded if you know what to look for. Read up on the sticky's as there is a lot of great info in there.
The 6.0 is probably the only vehicle that when looking at a used one, as soon as I see a detailed motor , I think the seller is trying to cover-up a puking degas bottle and hide the evidence. Is it just me?

Lol. It is sure a possibility. Hopefully not on this one. Does look good though.
