I think the idle amps are about 120.
If I was running all that stuff I would go with a DC 270 alt.

Just make sure you also upgrade your wiring.

You should at LEAST upgrade the alternator to battery cable. The stock wiring is not really rated for that many amps. IMHO you're just wasting your $$$ if you don't.

Actually, on my 230 amp Prestolite, you have to upgrade the charge cable to 2/0 and the ground from the alternator to the passsenger batter with 2/0. If you push to much amps through that stock cables, it will melt the fusible links and you will likely end up with a fire if anything positive touchs ground. I agree, do the wiring properly for these kinds of amps or the alternator cant push all that power to the batteries.

I looked them up, they are new, but they dont specify all the components, you have to trust they are all top grade, versus the DC Power and the Prestolite, I thnk they are a gamble. The reason I went with the prestolite is warranty at all international vehicles, and every LCF with a VT365 uses them. They are a well known, trusted heavy truck supplier.

You should upgrade the cable from the alt to pass. battery, pass batt to driver batt.
Also do both grounds.
With a 270 amp alt I would run 2/0 as I did.
I have heard good things about this place for cables.
Heavy Duty, Aftermarket, Custom Battery Cables for your Car, Truck or RV

You can see the 2/0 cables that I put i mine.

Most CF400/500 trucks received either the normal 110 6G or the 160 amp Visteon.

The Prestolite 230 amp is an optional upgrade that debuted in 2011.
