Chris asked me to post the following information:

Shawnee Lodge & Conference Center
4404B State Route 125
West Portsmouth, OH 45663

Phone: 740-858-6621

Contacts are Lisa or Megan but you can talk to anyone there to book a room.

Tell them you’re with the Truckstock group and you’ll receive a 10% on the cost of your stay. Thursday and Sunday nights are 20% off regular rates. Check web site for costs of the rooms and cabins.

You have to pay for your first night stay when you reserve your room or cabin and then pay for the rest of your stay when you leave. You have 3 days before your reservation begins to cancel.

There are 22 rooms set aside in the lodge for the FTE group:
7 rooms with king sized beds
15 rooms with twin double beds

There are 10 cabins set aside for the FTE group:
The cabins are situated on a cul-de-sac
Cabins have 2 bedrooms; one with a queen size bed, the other has one has a bunk bed with a single on top and full on the bottom. There is also a pull out bed in the living room of the cabin.
Cabin can sleep up to 7 people and can be shared to save money-there is not an additional fee.
Each cabin has two designated parking spots with additional parking away from the cabins available. Additional parking can be used for trailers and tow vehicles.

Check in for cabins is 4:30 pm the day of your reservation unless the cabin you reserve is vacant during that day. If the cabin has not been in use that day you may check in earlier, call first. Check out is 10:00 am.

The cabins are about 200 yards away from the lodge.

There are 6 camp sites set aside for the FTE group with a total of 60 campsites.
Campsites are about a mile from the lodge and cabins.

There is a full service restaurant in the lodge that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

There are two pavilions by the lake and a banquet room in the lodge we can use if the weather turns inclement.

The resort covers approximately 65K acres with scenic roads that we can use to cruise in our trucks with stops to take pictures.

Just reserved a room in lodge instead of a cabin mainly because of current medical status. Figured no one needs to put up with my restless at night

Just a change of scenery this year. We may do it later or probably wait till next year. Which leads me to my next suggestion:

With all of you guys out there in California, it's an absolute shame that you guys don't do the same thing out there. Come on guys!!!

My biggest drawback moving forward is a lack of sleeping accommodations for everybody, whether that's at my place or at a motel. Maybe we can pitch in and build me about a dozen cabins before we do it again.
