I took before heading to work today. First tank of fuel on new EBP sensor. I'd say it works. I used to only get 375 miles out of a tank of fuel. If I can get this get kind of economy on stock tires I might keep it that way.
I get about 400 miles or so between fill ups on 37's. Don't pay too much attention to diesel cost until it edges towards 5 bucks a gallon. It was 3.99 here yesterday.

I think this depends greatly on how quickly you go through 400 miles. I go 500 miles each work-week, then the weekend could see some serious recreational miles. The fuel savings of driving my 2009 Prius to work for a month makes the car payment, the insurance payment on it, and pays for premium gas. This is without even considering maintenance costs - like that 4 gallons of synthetic oil vs. 4 or 5 quarts.
I am very mindful of the price of a fuel that was once much cheaper than regular gas... but I've always been considered a bit odd.

Thats the reason I have a 7.3 Excursion and a 2.0 TDi Passat the TDi uses a third of the fuel the Truck uses and is still fun to drive
I get my best mileage on 285/75R16 size tires. If I go to where my overhead display shows "50 miles to empty" i'm at about 440-450 miles. I don't daily drive her anymore, only on weekends to keep her 'fresh' and the occasional drive to work.
I put 35' on my truck for 1 week. I did my 'usual' driving and average mpg dropped from 16+ to 12.7. Took 'em off and sold 'em. Looked good, sure, but functionality, reliability, and efficiency are more important to me than a mod just for looks.

I actually LOST mpg going from 35's to 33's I had 315/75R16s on the X, we took it to Utah towing my small trailer and got 17.6 MPG up and back. I ended up putting 285/75R16s on it and we drove to Vegas and back, without the trailer, it only got 17.2 mpg on that trip. I have to figure it is the difference between running 75-80 mph on the highway, with the smaller tires it puts the engine at 2-300 rpms higher, then the previous 2k-2100rpms with the 35's. I guess I could slow down, but who is going to do that...
Are you guys with big tires resetting the odos for the different diameters? If not, this will always make your perceived MPG much worse than reality. That being said, raising the truck a couple of inches and spinning the bigger meat will not improve economy.
When I got the X, it had the 35's on it, the over head was showing 11.2mpg, the speedo was off, I corrected it with AE and it changed to 13.2, I then programmed it and it went up to 15.2 around town. I corrected for the smaller tires also. I used GPS to set it. The over head is pretty close when I hand calculate it.
Crazy thing, my AE won't adjust the speedo on my Dodge, but my programmer will.

I have 16X7 rims. The 285's wont fit, I wish they would though.
