Hi all, I'm sure this information is covered in another thread, I was unable to find an answer via the search function but if anyone has a link it would be much appreciated. My question is, I know that the factory wheels on my '79 F150 2WD have a 5"x5.5" lug pattern, but what is the factory wheel backspacing and hub bore? I just want to get a set of 15" summit racing black steelies and I want to get the order right the first time. Any help will go a long way, thanks.
Are you using the red search? Try using the blue line with User CP, Albums, FAQ? See the search on that line? It has a drop down search menu arrow, go to the "Advanced Search" option, type in there say "blab la bla" and then go to the lower right column and high light 73-79 forum. Select it and then you will have a detailed search just in the 73-79 forums.
Sorry do not know your answer all I use are 8 on 6 1/2 rims.
Bump? Anyone with 8" wide wheels at least know the offset, hub bore, brand, model of their wheel that fits well in the fender? Any help is greatly appreciated
Btw, contact Wheel Vintiques directly to verify they still carry the Series 62 in 5x5.5 for Fords. Someone said a few months back that they stopped production.
If you do get a set, verify that they are indeed 5x5.5 because the first pair I got were mis-boxed... the box matched the PNs I ordered but the content was a 5 on 5 Chevy wheel .
The "Mistake" wheel. Note that the humps next to the bolt holes are squarish...:
The correct wheel. Note that humps are triangular:
