SCT tunes
Thinking about adding some SCT tunes to my truck to mostly perk it up a bit, not so much to help with towing. I will also add EGT gauge, but I'd like to know if anyone has a similar truck with tall gears, small tires, and SCT tunes to see how well you like the setup. Any suggestions on which tuners? I know 5 Star Tuning is in my town, just looking for some guidance.

5 Star has good gas burner tunes but I don't know about their 6.0 tunes. PHP has some good tuning and their transmission tuning is great. Gearhead performance and Truck Source Diesel are good also.

Pick a tuner and try it. Every truck is different, what works great on one truck won't fall out of a tree on another. The SCT canned tunes are not too bad, I've got my best mileage so far on the performance tune on a trip empty. I'm currently running PHP tunes and am very happy so far but it takes a tank of fuel for things to settle in and I am only at a few days worth.
