Ford Remote Starter installation ?
I have a 2012 SC FX4 with 5.0
Anyone install the ford BC3Z-19G364-A Remote Star System? Any problems and how difficult? Also, my truck has power door locks so what is the 19G366 Remote Start Hood Switch Kit?

Derek4343, My local dealer quoted me $218.90 but a fellow ant the office bought his for $189.00 off e-bay. He hopes to install it this weekend. I will post about the install later. Right now we are under blizzard conditions and I have to go plow snow to get out

I hate to ask and sound dumb. But it comes with instructions so I know where to pull plugs.

As the system needs to be activated by a dealer, I would not think that they would activate the remote start system if the hood switch is not installed. Many trucks without factory remote start (my base STX) already has the hood switch installed.
