Has anyone dealt with this recently? Ive read a s-load of threads but most were several years old. I know ford no longer makes the kit. I emailed terrapin mfg but haven't got a reply yet. It still shifts just fine but I have to floor it to crank it and it does flex a bit.

Make your own kit... it's just some bracing right?
My Ranger had a cracked firewall by the clutch cylinder, and one of the previous owners welded some solid steel tubing across it. They didn't repair the crack itself but that firewall didn't budge one bit. Even with the super stiff clutch that someone put in (which I actually liked).
Well I just crawled out from under the dash. Large crack that opens up when the clutch is pressed. I jury rigged something that might buy me some time. Hopefully terrapin still makes these things
Just fixed mine with the Terrapin bracket from Jason - works great. I decided to reduce cussing so I removed the seat and clutch/brake pedal bracket for easy access. The only surprise I had was when I yanked the steering column out, it broke loose at a sliding joint just above the steering box, instead of where I removed the bolt just above the U-joint. I thought I broke something at first, but it appears to be designed that way, probably to allow for movement between the frame and cab. The kit didn't fit precisely (nor did I expect it to), but with a little cold metal forming and reaming out some of the holes in the bracket, it is installed solidly and the clutch feels so smooth now!
