Hi, I have a 1985 Ford Bronco XLT..and the other say my friend was messing around under the passenger side dash. There is this wire that has always hung down..I think he was playing with it...well after that..The radio interior light (dome and under dash ) and clock stopped working?Anyone got any suggestions on whats wrong or how to fix it? ..Thank You
Ok now for the stupid question How do i check the fuses? KNow if there bad? I know which fuses are which ( the little fuse cover breaks them dwon) but how do i know if there bad? Can i get new fuses at the auto store?.. Thank You
you can get fuses at any auto store, so thats no big deal. the way ive always checked fuses is i pull them out and check to see if the metal part in the middle is still intact, if not i replace. there may be an easier way that im unaware of but good luck.
Tim
No, actually your method is the best way. Thats why they are clear. If you are uncertain as to the fuses condition after visual inspection, you can check it with a multimeter set for "continuity" or ohms. It should beep if the fuse is good or show zero ohms resistance.
Any ideas? The headlights works..A/C..Engine runs..Starts... Jsut Radio ( aftermarket) Interior Lights.. clock... Any Ideas? Is there another fuse ( like a master fuse?) Any ideas..Im completly lose..HELP!..Thank You
Get a Haynes manual and trace the LG/Y wire that powers the clock memory & courtesy lights. The radio probably got added to the circuit, so there's no telling what was done. I suspect you'll end up pulling the radio & rewiring it.
I have the exact problem. My CD deck and dome lights are out. The Radiofuse is good, but I found a burnt one for the whole cab interior...I'll replace it tommorrow and let you know what happens...
