How much do you have in your Excursion?

I'm probably going to sell mine and was wondering exactly how much I had in it. Paid 21,000 3 years ago and the Ex had 87,000 miles and was in pretty good shape other than being a 6.0 and in need of bullet proofing (I knew it needed some preventative maintenance, but had no idea how much that would cost). So, bullet proofing, larger turbo, exhaust, rear camera, front and rear ranch hands, tuner, remote start, ceramic tinting and so on. On the conservative side I've gotta be around 30K in the vehicle? Here she is, post your story and money invested.

All told I probably have around 8-9k in mine. I bought it about 2 years ago in TX. It's a 2wd 5.4 limited, but I've had no real issues with it.

Nice vehicle! I would say you would be at about 30k or higher. I just finished up all of the bulletproofing myself - not cheap.

Too bad you didn't invest in a motorcraft oil filter...and OEM oil filter cap.

I paid $8,900 for the 4WD Limited v-10 in excellent condition with 130k miles 4 years ago and put about $100 in it.

Second on the Oil Cap; need to use OEM oil cap and OEM oil filter, after market doesn't cut it for 6.0 L PSD.

I paid $15K two years ago, and spent ~$5K+ on V/Mod B Codes springs, Rancho 9000 Shocks with remote, stereo with navigation and backup camera; BP EGR cooler and Ford update oil cooler, one new injectors and new O-rings for the rest of injectors on the driver side bank; Coolant filter; new CAC boots; new set of tires today.

Dude. Why in the hell would you sell that beauty? I'd drive it till the wheels fell off at this point.

I paid $15,500 for mine last year, and have put in maybe $2k doing some preventative maintenance to it. Wouldn't sell it for less than $20 now though.

I have about 10K in mine. Bought it for 5 and put about 5 in it. New tires, ball joint, shocks, RAS, sway bar, brakes, valve body, regear/rebuild and add LS, 08 mirrors, hoses and belt, battery, and some other nonsense I've forgotten.

Hmmmm, maybe it's more like 6k, I really shouldn't think about it! Regardless, it's a bargain tow vehicle and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it to across the country tomorrow if I had to.

The appropriate question is...

How much fun do you have in your Excursion!

And ain't it been worth it.

Ya only go around once folks, enjoy those mods, repairs and trips.

Into mine approx 24G. Bought it 2 years ago and put 100,000miles on it since.
Make that 24,226, just did the trans filters and 10L of fluid couple days ago

She's a beauty, you did the leg work allready now so why get rid of it?
Enjoy her until the wheels fall off!! 99% of the time you don't get back anywhere close to what you put into it
I won't bring up that aftermarket oil cap :P

Bought mine for 10K a year ago with 139K on it. V-10 4WD Limited. Put new tires on it and thats about it. The X has had the springs changed to the V/B springs and has
a stainless steel Aero turbine muffler which I will change to a flowmaster soon. That was done prior to me buying it. I will need to change out the steering gearbox as well.
