AC/Pump removal - pics
I'm about to perform my first engine pull/swap on an 89 F250, ZF5, 5.8 EFI. Motor in car is tired and needs to be rebuilt. I have a 'lightly used' 5.8 from the same year/model F250 that I would like to try in the car before rebuilding the original 5.8...so I'm going to throw the spare motor in and see how it runs. Before doing that, a few questions:
I was told that the air pump was having 'issues' when this motor was pulled, so I'm going to remove it, the egr and leave the AC out. Just to make sure I understand the process... All I need to do is remove the pump, all of the associated tubing and plug the holes in the exhaust headers right?
Below are 3 pics which outline what I'm describing.
Also given that this motor has no AC and will not have a pump anymore...what belt should I use?
Thanks for any/all guidance. Also feel free to make fun of the leaves or my disorganized garage.

A/C is the air conditioning pump. The pump you are reffering to is the "Air Pump" or "Smog Pump"
Just thought I'd point that out for clarification...
Yes, I meant both the AC and the air/smog/Kalifornia pump.
I will buy an AC idler pully and measure the string, thanks for the suggestion.
A few small questions remain though: Do I just tear everything else off up there? What would you use to fill the holes in the exhaust headers?
Bought a replacement pulley at Napa, it includes the bracket you'll need.
In fact they could not get me that idler pulley only which I found to be odd, no ac so I didn't need the bracket. Apparently the only way they offer that pulley is pre mounted to its bracket.
So naturally some place around here stashed on a shelf, lays a AC delete bracket in the box, that new one had to buy but didn't need!
