Wizzness,I received my dually d2s and rear floods today.I dont need to use the relays they came with if im wiring to upfitter switches correct?Just positive and negative wires.. Upfitters have there own relays.Just want to be sure and not f&$& it up.Thanks
Yeah that's correct. Just cut the relay and fuse off..black wire goes straight to negative battery terminal and power goes to your passthrough wire to the upfitter.

Thanks for confirming.Im doing the fronts as you did with the aluminum angle iron.Looks good.. Why did you go straight to battery ground? Wasnt anything good near bumper ? I suppose battery ground is only three feet away so prolly best to go there and have a good known ground.
Did you go through firewall to upfitters or use the ones in engine bay? I can see the ones in engine bay but the only way my hands are getting on them is by removing wheel well liner.

I went straight to the battery to know I would always have a good ground. I used the wires in the engine bay. Since it was too hard to crimp/get a crimper in there I just soldered them on. Just dabbed a little solder to the light cable then touched them and boom...done. Make sure you put some heat shrink on obviously if you do the connections under the hood. And I did have to take the wheel well liner off.
