Just installed my first TimeSert and all went well. I think this is a great system but there is some bad info out there as far as type of inserts and install tools. I took my time and double checked everything especially making sure no aluminum chips in the cylinder. I did cylinder #8 because the plug had loosened up and it was easy to get to. Start to finish 2 hours, bet I can knock the remaining out in an hour each. I made my own pressure unit for checking if valves were completely closed for about 14 bucks so if anyone wants info let me know. My only question is plug torque in the new inserts, I think I will call the company for this info.

Good idea . Since the Timesert inserts are steel , it is steel to-steel interface with the spark plug. Ford's guideline of 14 ft-lb is no longer valid . Let us know what Timesert's recommendation is .
Did you use grease on cutting tool flutes ?
Timesert recommends it , but it could makes things worse . Because any greasy aluminum particle that drops in the cylinder will stick on the surface and may or may not be removed with suction or compressed air .
I did not get a call back from timesert today, I will post asap, as for the grease, I am of like mind as you, grease chunks of aluminum seemed like poking a bear so I used wd40 that actually caught quite a few of the aluminum shavings. Made a small hose setup for the shop vac and vacuumed out the cylinder then contact cleaner, vac, light compressed airline next to the vac hose to dislodge and suck up the small particles. I spent a lot of time on this. The last thing I did before installing the plug was to hook the vacuum to the plug hole and bump the ignition so the piston up stroke would push remaining air out with a vac assist. I am going to purchase or borrow a bore camera when I do the other nine.
