Several weeks ago I started getting an intermittent check engine light
I have a "94 F150 w/351 engine. The light comes on only when cruising or light acceleration, never at idle or full acceleration. I checked the code and it is a code 173 (lack of oxygen sensor switches - rich - right side). I have also noticed that the engine seems to surge a little at cruising. The truck has 81,000 miles . I went ahead and changed the plugs, plug wires, distributor cap & rotor to no avail...
Can anyone offer any suggestions what I need to be looking for ???
Haw you tried reading the codes yet? There is a very simple procedure to have the check engine light flash out the fault codes. If you have a Chiltons, or Haynes manual for your truck it is in there. Try that and post the codes here and we will try to help.
