2012 Heated mirror problem
I have a 2012 F350 Lariat with power telescoping and folding mirrors. They don't heat up however. They really fogged up one day and I got thinkin maybe it's a bad fuse, as my 03 & 05 are heated all the time. Upon reading the owners manual, trucks with auto climate control have the defrost switch to the left of the climate display, and below that is the rear window defrost switch. That rear window defrost switch can also have a second icon on it for heated mirrors. Mine does not yet my mirror glass has the heated symbol. What's the deal??

Ford heated mirrors have a tendency to only heat up to about lukewarm, as well. Maybe sufficient to melt off frost or ice, but certainly not the burn your hand with steam rising off the glass heat you find in a Volvo or BMW. My '12 only shows a rear defrost button, but it heats the mirrors as well.
